I Grow Old, I Growl Old...

You know you're old when, walking across campus for coffee you overhear a co-ed on her cell phone exclaiming, "So like last night there were 20 people in my room playing beer pong...."

I feel your pain -- or some variation on it -- just about every day. I like to think of campus as keeping me young (even if it's just "amongst the young").

And... pssst... I think you also know you're old when you are calling female students "co-eds".

I used the term "co-eds" for effect, definitely.

Have you ever read Coetzee's Disgrace? If not, it might be time now.

Ahhh...the days of Nekkid Crisco enhanced "Twister"....

Gotta tell you...I still play beer pong at tailgates for Michigan State football games. Nothing like a group of 30-somethings playing beer pong.

Love beer pong. We call it Beirut. We play just about every time an occasion calls for a keg.

Ian claims the "sport" was invented at Lehigh. At any rate, I've always thought that if you need a game to drink by, you aren't doing it right.

Trekking Left, check out the Wikipedia entry, which does say the "sport" began at either Lehigh or Bucknell. Since Christy Matthewson went to Bucknell, my money's on the Bison.

Otherwise, though, I'm with you Marty--a game to drink? Might as well play breathing games.
