condolences, george. that was the worst meltdown ive ever seen.
I guess you forgot the Yanks in 2004, huh.
That was pretty bad... and there was very little rejoicing around the Generik household (the way there was when the Yanks blew it in '04).
I don't mean to say that there was no rejoicing -- just very little.
The Yanks in 2004? What happened then? I can't recall... (applying selective omission now).
Actually, it was alot easier for me to digest that since I live all the way out here on the left coast. If i had been home where I grew up, in NH, it would have been pretty stinking devastating. As it happened, I could merely not pick up the phone when it rang incessantly for two days straight.
And in fact it was a much more painful loss, personally, to go down the way they did in game 7 of the 2001 playoffs. Can you imagine how much better of a tv program "Nine Innings from Ground Zero" could have been if the Yankees had locked down that World Series? It hurts to think about it even now, and that's six years ago.
Gee, you're right, McC. I forgot the Yankees played al-Qaeda in Arizona in 2001. True, al-Qaeda wasn't there when the series began, but they were there by the end.
We talking baseball or terrorism? I thought it was baseball.
BTW, elements of AQ WERE in Iraq before our invasion.
I'm not the one who thinks Yankees=America=Giuliani....
And not to delude you from your Fox-informed confusions, but according to this website--which sources the U.S. State Dept.--al-Qaeda in Iraq formed in 2003. Which I believe is when the endless war began.
