Starts off strong and kind of peters out, but that's true for some of the songs here, too--the Sweet, Cale, and Luna all could use a bit of editing. No NJ this week, btw.

Not only no Jersey, but I have to admit I've never heard any of these songs.
Heard of them (like the cut off Marquee Moon), but never expereineced the notes.
And yes, that embarrasses me.
You have to go buy/download Marquee Moon at once. One of the best albums of all time.
The other stuff is pretty obscure--I mean, there's a cut from the solo album from a woman "best" known as part of Freakwater and Eleventh Dream Day (Bean), not a King Crimson cut, not even a League of Crafty Guitarists cut, but a Robert Fripp String Quartet cut, and then a John Cale cut from a soundtrack to a movie maybe 14 people have seen. Even the New Pornographers get "represented" by a lesser cut from AC Newman's solo album. And then there's the Sex Pistols in French, which I actually dig--better than the disco versions from the same CD.

What George said...with this addition: get the recent re-release with Little Johnny Jewel as a bonus track.
Oh boy. I feel scolded.
Can I go back to my desk now, or do I need to stay in the corner?
It's not like we compared you to the Yankees or anything.
Look at it this way--you have some terrific listening to look forward to.

Oh boy, I think it's gonna take a while to live that one down.
