Avant to Catch You Off Garde Week (3) -- Sonic Geology
Birdsongs of the Mesozoic--especially when Roger Miller was part of the group--did some incredible chamber rock, and this video weirds their oddness up a tad.
“We discovered that it was OK to have a little high-brow as long you have a lot of low-brow. That’s entertainment value. The one thing you want to avoid is the middle brow, because the whole world is frigging middle brow at the moment.” – Jon Langford

Hi!
I have some problems with technology, could you tell me how i do it to put a youtube video in a post??
Thanks
It's pretty easy to post from YouTube. First, you have to have an acct with them, so set one up if you don't. When you set it up, you can set a blog or blogs to post to.
Then, if you look at videos while logged in, there's a link under the video that says "post video." Click on that and it's easy from there.
Amazing timing, George. I just pulled out my "Sonic Geology" CD a couple of weeks ago and have been revisiting it (i.e., loaded it on my MP3 player). I saw them perform somewhere around 1986-87 or so; big fun.
And that video looks like their tribute to Bunuel (Un Chien Andalou) or David Lynch (Eraserhead).
Steve--
I saw Birdsongs about the same time when I lived in Iowa City--I remember it as a great show but it's so long ago I don't even have t-shirt I bought anymore. Sonic Geology might be my favorite instrumental CD.
Indeed, that film has Bunuel and Lynch all over it.
