For Dog Blog Friday: That's not Mookie's boot, it's his bandage, for somehow he broke a toe last Saturday night just romping in our +/- 0 acres backyard (that's actually what the deed says). Nothing like paying over 300 bucks at the emergency vet on Sunday to get x-rays and have them tell us it's a soft tissue injury. Good thing we have a real vet (if you're looking for one in Santa Barbara, Dr. Haskell at Adobe Animal Hospital is your man).Labels: good vet, greyhounds

They do like to get their play on, don't they? We've made several trips to the vet over the years for cuts, abrasions, torn toe nails etc. as a result of over zealous recreational activities.
Nothing like a sick or injured kid to pull your concentration into the here and now. Hope you all are back romping soon!

btw, have you ever thought about veterinary pet insurance? After many a trip to the emergency vet (why do they only hurt themselves after hours?) we finally went with it. It has literally saved us thousands.
